CUTANPLAST FAST® is a gelatin product of animal origin, due to its particular structure, is able, used dry, to quickly absorb a large quantity of liquids. Thanks to this property CUTANPLAST FAST is able to control and stop most of the bleeding, arterial and venous, difficult to manage with traditional hemostasis methods. The CUTANPLAST FAST product absorbs in the first minute an amount of liquid equal to 60 times its own weight. The product is compact and flexible and can be used for laparoscopic use and for biopsy procedures.

CLASSIFICATION ACCORDING TO EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE 93/42/CEE: “Medical Device” Class III implatable.

Properties

The formulation allows the product to be highly absorbent and to be applied dry for better absorbency performances.

  • Hemostatic rates between 2 – 8 minutes
  • Dissolution rates between 2 – 4 weeks
